• Reviewing and analyzing inter­national terms and conditions, endorse­ments, and clauses in the marine insu­rance
• Preparation of globally standar­dized insurance terms and condi­tions, benchmarks, and indi­vidual endorsements for HDI
• Answering questions from the underwriting community and trans­lating under­writing inten­tions into proven policy wordings
• Developing and delivering training on insurance terms and condi­tions
• Review of (contractual) liabilities and general terms and condi­tions of freight forwar­ders and warehouse operators
• Liaising internally with the legal, claims, compliance, and rein­surance depart­ments
• Monitoring market develop­ments and current case law
• Participation in and / or lead of projects to improve pro­cesses and tools, e.g., expansion of HDI's internal AI-based wording tool

• Extensive, inter­national experience in drafting contract-specific insu­rance policies and endorsements
• Proven in-depth knowledge of marine insurance wordings with a clear under­standing of the chal­lenges associated with cargo, cargo liability and warehouse legal liability risks, such as market uncer­tainty and poten­tial litigation due to unclear wordings
• Experience in freight forwarders / carriers lability Insurance
• Legal background is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Business fluent in English and German
